Intersections: Creating Culturally Complete Streets

In 2018, Smart Growth America’s Arts & Culture program partnered with the National Complete Streets Coalition and the Urban Land Institute to host the first-ever conference focused on creative placemaking and Complete Streets. Intersections, held in Nashville, TN, brought together planners, artists, engineers, public health advocates, and others to collaborate and find practical ways to integrate arts and culture to create streets that are not only safe for everyone, but also better reflect the unique character of their communities.
